Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She was part of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college before she was drafted as the 5th overall pick by the Wings at the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale's father and mother Yolanda Ogunbowale & Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale and Dare Ogunbowale are both 20-years old. She was the youngest in her family and her parents took care of her the most. Gregory's father was a member of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale's family is who has connections to the sports world. In addition to studying Arike also played on three varsity teams at Divine Holy Angels Savior High School. Ogunbowale has led her team to multiple victories using her outstanding skills. Through her time at high school, she has 73 career begins and 1,477 total points. In addition, she has 739 rebound. Ogunbowale has won gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships as well as the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships. In July of 2014 she was picked as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after making several impressive shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is not a newcomer to basketball but she has rapidly established herself.
